a: Sosta means “break” in Italian. We want guests to come to The Sosta for a quick break or escape from their busy day! Inspired by the Autogrills in Italy, taking a quick break during a long drive for an espresso, pasta or gelato.

a: The Sosta is committed to making our food as delicious and fresh as possible! We make our main ingredients like pasta, focaccia, cookies and fresh rotating cheeses fresh daily. We also make our sauces, spreads and dressings in small batches to guarantee the freshness and consistency.

a: We currently do not offer reservations. All seating is on a first come, first serve basis.

Unfortunately, we do not offer delivery at this time. However, we do offer delivery through our partner, Postmates.

q: Do you use seasonal ingredients?
a: Yes. The Sosta is committed to having seasonally inspired specials. We are also committed to using as many locally sourced, natural and organic ingredients whenever possible.
q: Can all of your pastas be made gluten-free?
a: Yes! All of our pastas can be made gluten-free or with zucchini pasta, for an added charge. While The Sosta is proud to offer menu items with gluten-free ingredients, The Sosta is not a gluten-free environment. Due to the handcrafted nature of our menu and our use of shared cooking and prep areas, we cannot assure you that our restaurant environment or any menu item will be completely free of gluten. If you have a severe allergy, please ask to speak with a manager to discuss.
q: What flour do you use in the fresh pasta?
a: Our pasta is made fresh daily with Durum Wheat Semolina.
q: What kind of flour do you use in the gluten-free pasta?
a: Our gluten-free pasta is made fresh daily with Cup 4 Cup All Purpose Mix.
q: Which pastas are vegan?
a: All of our fresh pastas are vegan, except for our gluten-free noodles, which are made with egg. Additionally, our Pomodoro and Arrabbiata sauces are vegan.
q: Which pasta sauces are vegetarian?
a: Our Pomodoro, Arrabbiata and Pesto sauces are vegetarian.
q: What makes the Vodka sauce not vegetarian?
a: The Vodka sauce contains Worcestershire sauce.
q: Can I add more spreads to my antipasto board?
a: Absolutely! Feel free to add as many as you wish (for an added charge).
q: Can your sandwiches be made gluten-free?
a: Unfortunately, our sandwiches are made with our freshly baked focaccia which contains gluten.
q: I bought a jar of sauce at The Sosta; when should I use it by?
a: As soon as possible! The fresher the better! The sauce should be consumed within 4 days.
q: What kind of tuna do you use?
a: We use high quality Sicilian tuna.
q: Can I get extra dressing? Substitute dressings?
a: The first extra dressing of the same kind is free. If you would like an extra dressing from another salad there will be an added charge. Yes, dressings can be substituted upon request.
q: Where is your gelato from?
a: We source our gelato locally from Fresco Gelateria in the East Village.
q: Where can I find the nutritional content of the menu?
a: Unfortunately, as a new restaurant we do not have nutritional information available at this time.
q: What’s the deal with your packaging?
a: All of our to-go packaging at The Sosta is recyclable and/or compostable.
